Actor Ridhi Dogra recently shared her thoughts on handling online trolls, making it clear that she doesn’t let negativity disturb her peace of mind. Instead, Dogra has learnt to face trolls confidently and refuses to be silenced by baseless criticism.
Ridhi, who will soon be seen in The Sabarmati Report alongside Vikrant Massey and Raashii Khanna, has often been subjected to unsolicited opinions and harsh comments online. Yet, rather than ignoring or avoiding trolls, she chooses to confront them. “I don’t get affected by trolls; I take them head-on,” Dogra asserted.
Speaking exclusively to India Today Digital, Ridhi said, “See, I am from Delhi, so it’s better not to mess with me because I take you head-on. I used to be on X (Twitter), and if anyone said anything, I would respond, so I left. That said, I would have a lot of fun arguing with trolls. I wanted them to disagree with me; I would really engage, but I wouldn’t get affected at all, because I’m from Delhi.”
She continued, “I left X (Twitter), so now trolls might say, ‘Oh, you’ve left X; if you’re so gutsy, why did you leave?’ But I left because you don’t keep trash; you delete it. So, it was that.”
Ridhi was earlier seen in films like Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan and in Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif’s Tiger 3. She will next be seen in Abir Gulaal, which features Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor in the lead. Her next, The Sabarmati Report, is set to be released on November 15.
